About me
My name is Katherine Fraze, and I love school! After being raised by a teacher, I became one myself. I taught English for three years, including basic literacy, reading comprehension, and writing. I. have worked with students with IEPs, 504 Plans, students whose first language is not English, and students with behavioral intervention plans.
I have since left the classroom, and I now am studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Mason University. I am also obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies; I am very sensitive to cultural differences and expectations.
I enjoy now working with children at all levels privately. I currently work with clients to increase literacy skills (including phonetic awareness, spelling, decoding unfamiliar words, and sight word memorization), build reading stamina, test preparation, and behavioral intervention support.
I look forward to working with more families and helping more children achieve their goals!
